Elita Poulter: violin

Originally from the north east of England, Elita studied at Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music and then as a post-graduate at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She subsequently joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra where she worked for several years before moving to Glasgow to take up the post of Assistant-Principal 2nd Violin in the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. A founder member of Daniel’s Beard, Elita was also a member of the Fejes Quartet, and also plays regularly with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Northern Sinfonia. Away from her violin, Elita is a keen Munro-bagger and a talented gardener, with a vegetable patch to be proud of!
