Lynda Cochane

Lynda was born in Edinburgh and studied at Manchester University and the Royal Northern College of Music, before heading west to Indiana University, where her teachers included Marjorie Clementi and Menahem Pressler.

 

Now based in Glasgow, Lynda plays piano regularly with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the contemporary music group Paragon. She has appeared as concerto soloist with the RSNO, BBC SSO and Scottish Ballet, and has also featured on many CDs and recorded for film composers Craig Armstrong and Rachel Portman.

 

As a chamber musician she has worked with some of the world's top soloists and in 2005, Lynda was an Associate Artiste of Chamber Music New Zealand.
